Water Loss In A Senior Living Community

For the most part, senior living communities are drama free.  But that was not the case recently, when a sprinkler head burst at a facility due to a malfunction.  Water began to pour out of the sprinklers on the third floor and accumulate.  The pooling water, with nowhere to go, seeped down to the second floor, at which point building maintenance was alerted. The amount of water was too much for the on-site staff to handle so they called SERVPRO of Trumbull, Monroe & Northern Bridgeport to help with the issue.

We arrived quickly with the necessary tools and equipment to efficiently remediate the damage.  First, our technicians extracted as much water as possible from both the second and third floors.  Next, our team set a network of air movers and dehumidifiers to maximize airflow and drying potential.  A day or two later, once the moisture was back to satisfactory levels, we began to address any structural damage that had occurred, like affected wood and drywall, as well as flooring.
